30 March 2020

FREE - Association of Anaesthetists COVID-19 webinar

Now we are in the next (‘delay’) phase of managing the COVID-19 pandemic, anaesthetic and critical care departments are planning and preparing for the influx of critically ill patients. Based on experience elsewhere, it is highly likely anaesthetists will be asked to assist their critical care colleagues.

For many anaesthetists this will be daunting as they have not worked in such environments for many years. They will need to 'side skill’ to update themselves on contemporary critical care practice. Priorities include safe intubation, management of patients with ARDS (and proning), and ethical dilemmas. This webinar provides information on these key areas.

Chair: Dr Tim Meek, Honorary Secretary, Association of Anaesthetists
